Smart Fun for School Breaks

Whether it’s summer break, a teacher workday, or a school holiday, our camps offer experiences that encourage creativity, teamwork, and discovery.

We offer themed camps throughout the year for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade, with age-specific activities designed to meet them where they are—while keeping things fun and active!

Our Summer Camps offer a season full of creativity, discovery, and hands-on fun.

 

From science experiments and art projects to outdoor adventures, each week is packed with activities designed to spark curiosity and imagination.

2026 Summer Camp Schedule

June 1-4

Ocean Discoveries: Campers dive into ocean science through marine life exploration, water experiments, and conservation challenges.

Cost: Members: $180, Non-members: $200

June 8-11

Stitch Lab (Sewing and Design): Campers design and create wearable projects while learning basic sewing and problem-solving skills.

Cost: Members: $180, Non-members: $200

June 15-18

Cooking Craze: Cooking meets science as campers explore chemical reactions, measurements, and global foods through hands-on recipes. 

Cost: Members: $180, Non-members: $200

June 22-25

Sensory Scientists: Campers engage in hands-on sensory play while learning how our brains process touch, sound, and movement.

Cost: Members: $180, Non-members: $200

June 29-July 2

YouTube Creator Camp / Jr. Movie Makers

Cost: Members: $225, Non-members: $250

July 6-9

Gulf Coast Explorers: A locally grounded camp where kids investigate coastal animals, plants, and conservation through interactive challenges.

Cost: Members: $180, Non-members: $200

July 13-16

Robotic Inventors: Campers build foundational coding and robotics skills while solving fun, real-world problems.

Cost: Members: $180, Non-members: $200

July 20-23

Storytellers Studio: Kids explore storytelling through art, performance, and creative media like puppets, comics, and simple animation.

July 27-30

Art, Tools, and Tinkering: A creative build camp where art and construction combine through hands-on projects and open-ended making.

Aug 3-6

Roblox Designer / Jr. Gamemakers

Fun Fridays

Register for Fun Fridays every week. This one-day camp has different themes each week!

Camps for Special Needs Students

These camps are specifically designed for students with higher support needs, including Life Skills students.

Campers will socialize, play, and learn with hands-on activities in a supportive environment led by familiar faces, including GISD educators. Open to ages 4 to 12 years old.

Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 3 PM

Inclusive camps are held at Moody Methodist Church located at 2803 53rd St, Galveston, TX 77551.

What to Expect at Camp

  • Experienced instructors and low child-to-staff ratios

  • Hands-on projects, indoor & outdoor play

  • Themed learning stations and guest presenters

  • A supportive space where every child can thrive

Camp Policies

  • Registration is required; space is limited and fills quickly

  • A completed waiver and emergency contact info are required

  • Payment is due at time of registration

Refunds are not available, but credits can be applied toward future museum programs if canceled within a specified window.

For a Friday drop-in camp:

We offer additional themed and single-day camps designed to align with the school calendar. These are perfect for when school is out, but your child still wants to play, learn, and explore.
